Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has published Combined  Civil Services Examination-4 (Group-IV) with VAO Exam 2018 for recruitment positions of Village Administrative Officer, Junior Assistant, Bill Collector, Field Surveyor, Draftsman, Typist and Steno Typist for filling up total 9351 Vacancies in TNPSC Vacancy 2017 to 2018. The TNPSC invites online applications for the years 2015-2016, 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 for the Direct Recruitment to the following posts included in the Tamil Nadu Ministerial Service, Tamil Nadu Judicial Ministerial Service, Tamil Nadu Survey and Land Records Subordinate Service and Tamil Nadu Secretariat Service. TNPSC Group 4  Exam 2018 Online registration open from 14th November 2017 and close on 13th December 2017.

Age Limit:

For VAO Posts -> 21 to 30 Years for General Category Candidates; 21 to 40 Years for SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs BCMs and Destitute Widows  of all Castes.

For All Other Posts -> 18 to 35 Years for SC, SC (Arunthathiyar), ST and Destitute Widows of all castes; 18 to 32 Years for Most Backward Classes (MBC) / Denotified Communities, Backward Classes (BC) and 

Tamil Nadu Survey and Land Records Subordinate Service

Backward Classes (Muslims); 18 to 35 Years for the persons who are trained in Survey in ITI in Tamil Nadu, in respect of posts of Field Surveyor and Draftsman only; Minimum 18 Years Maximum 30 Years for all others.

Scale of Pay:

VAO, Junior Assistant, Bill Collector, Field Surveyor, Draftsman, Surveyor -> ₹ 5,200 - 20,200/- + ₹ 2,400/- G.P (PB-1) Per Month (Pre-revised) 
Steno-Typist -> ₹ 5,200 - 20,200/- + ₹ 2,800/- G.P (PB-1) Per Month (Pre-revised)

Minimum Educational Qualification: Must have passed S.S.L.C Public Examination / Matriculation or equivalent qualification with eligibility for admission to Higher Secondary Courses of Studies or to College Courses of studies.

Technical Qualification:

For Typist -> Must have passed the Government Technical Examination in Typewriting:- (i) by Higher / Senior Grade in Tamil and English (or) (ii) by Higher / Senior Grade in Tamil and Lower/ Junior Grade in English (or) (iii) by Higher / Senior Grade in English and Lower/ Junior Grade in Tamil. (AND) Candidates should have passed the "Certificate Course in Computer on Office Automation" awarded by the Technical Education Department.

For Steno Typist -> Must have passed the Government Technical Examination both in Typewriting and in Shorthand:- (i) by Higher / Senior Grade in Tamil and English (or) (ii) by Higher / Senior Grade in Tamil and Lower/Junior Grade in English (or) (iii) by Higher / Senior Grade in English and Lower/ Junior Grade in Tamil. (AND) Candidates should have passed the "Certificate Course in Computer on Office Automation" awarded by the Technical Education Department.

Knowledge of Tamil Language: Applicants should possess adequate knowledge of Tamil on the date of this Notification ( i.e. as on 14.11.2017).

Selection Process: Written Examination (Objective Type) (OMR Method) Only. The selection purely based on the marks obtained by the candidates in TNPSC Group 4 2018 Written Exam, the tentative list of eligible candidates for certificate verification will be announced in the Commission's website. After verification of the original certificates, the eligible candidates will be summoned for counselling to allot the post and Unit / Department in the order of rank and category to which they are eligible as per the vacancy position. Date of Examination - 20th January 2018 FN & AN and 21st January 2018 FN.

Application Fee: One Time Registration (OTR) of ₹  150/- as Registration fee. The fee valid for 5 years from the date of Registration. All the applications should be submitted using the One Time Registration ID and password registered by the applicant.

How to Apply: Eligible 10th Passed candidates can submit their application through Online mode using TNPSC Exams Portal. The last date for submission of online application is 13/12/2017 up to 11:59 PM.
