REQUIREMENT OF GENERAL DUTY MEDICAL OFFICER ON CONTRACT BASIS AT NAD. TROMBAY (REF NO. BA/3957/T/MO)

Applications are invited by the Chief General Manager, Naval Armament Depot.Mumbai (on behalf of Headquarters, Western Naval Command) for the post of General Duty Medical Officer purely on contract basis for a period of one year from the date of contract. Contract may likely to extend upto 03 years depending upon the availability of regular doctors through direct recruitment

Reporting Authority :- The doctors will report to the General Manager, Naval Armament Depot, Trombay

Nature of duties:- To provide medical cover to Industrial Workers of NAD, Trombay for any injury which may occur while carrying out following operations:-

(a) Accidents while handling of boxes loaded with ammunition and otherstores.

(b) Accidental explosion ofexplosive while working on it.

(c) Electrical hazard due to powersupply related test equipment.

(d) Injury while working on the machines and handling of metal parts.

(e) Eye injury due to welding and handling of chemicals.

(f) Respiratory trouble due to chemicals used in surface treatment process.

(g) Accidents involving material handling equipments.

(h) Failure of lifting appliances.

(i) Working at NAD.Trombay jetty in the hot sun during summer.

(j) Risk from High pressure air, 200 kg/cm2 is used in all the guided weapon workshops.

(k) Risk from the high pressure hydraulic fire hydrant network which is in place in the depotwhich is charged upto 7 bar pressure.

(l) Usual medical checkup including OPD.
