India Post has begun with the recruitment for the post of Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) on the official website- appost.in from August 5, 2019. The recruitment drive aims to hire for different posts of GDS such as Dak Sevak, Branch Postmaster (BPM) and Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) in postal circles of various states like Kerala Postal Circle, Bihar Postal Circle, Assam Postal Circle, Gujarat, Punjab and Karnataka. Through the recruitment drive, a total of 10,066 vacancies of Gramin Dak Sevak will be filled.

Eligible candidates can apply for the India Post Recruitment 2019 for GDS on the official website, appost.in, latest by September 4, 2019 by paying fees.

Step 2: Click on 'Registration'

Step 3: Fill the required details

Step 4: Upload the required documents

Step 5: Pay fees and click on 'Submit'

India Post Recruitment 2019: Eligibility criteria

• Candidates should possess Class 10 pass certificate from any recognised board with passing marks in Mathematics and English.

• Candidate should have studied the local or regional language at least up to class 10 as a compulsory subject.

• Candidates should possess the certificate of Basic Computer Training Course of minimum 60 days from any computer training Institute.

• Candidates should know how to ride a cycle.

Age limit:

Candidates should fall in the age bracket of 18 to 40 years.

Selection procedure:

The India Post will be selecting the Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) on the basis of automatic generated merit list.
