Panjab University Common Entrance Test (PU CET) is a state level entrance exam which is conducted by Panjab University, Chandigarh for taking admission in the undergraduate courses. Online application form is accepted by this university. Candidates will have to appear for online counselling as well as physical counselling after the declaration of result. Application Process:

Details of PUCET 2020 form are often checked by the candidates below:

  • The PUCET 2020 Application process has been started from 11th March 2020 via online mode for UG-CET. PUCET- PG application has been started from 23rd April 2020.

  • Candidates must submit the application form before the last date i.e. 13th July 2020 for UG and till 7th July 2020 for PG.

  • Candidates are advised to verify the entire details filled within the application before the ultimate submission. No application correction facility will be provided later.

  • The Application process will have steps like Registration, Filling form details, Uploading of Images and Application Fee payment.

  • No got to send the filled in form to the University.

  • Candidates must keep the printout of the filled application form for further use.

Candidates can pay the fee online by debit card/credit card or net banking or via offline mode (SBI E-Challan).

Exam Pattern:

The PU CET UG exam will be conducted in the offline pen and paper-based mode. Candidates will be awarded 2 marks for every correct response and For every wrong answer, 25% marks allotted to the question will be deducted. The exam duration will be 70 minutes for each paper. The exam will be conducted only in English medium.

It is important to fulfill the course-specific eligibility criteria in order to be eligible. Eligibility criteria dictate educational qualification mainly. The syllabus of Entrance Test is as per the CBSE Syllabus for 10+1 and 10+2. The question paper will consist of questions from subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics. Candidates can prepare well as per official syllabus to score better.


Physical world and measurement, kinematics, law of motions, work energy and power, motion of systems and particles and rigid body gravitation, properties of bulk matter, thermodynamics behavior of perfect gas and kinetic theory and oscillation and waves, etc.



Some of basic concept of chemistry, structure of atom, classifications of element and periodicity in properties, chemical bonding and molecular structure, hydrogen, S-blocks elements, organic chemistry- some basic principle and techniques, thermodynamics, equilibrium, redox reactions, hydrocarbons etc.



Diversity in the living world, structural organization in animals and plants, cell structure and functions, plant physiology, human anatomy and physiology, etc.



Sets, relation and functions, principle of mathematical induction, binomial theorem, sequence and series, conic sections, introduction to three- dimensional geometry, limits and derivatives, mathematical reasoning, statics and probability, etc
