Osmania University Common Entrance Test(OUCET) is conducted by Osmania University for admissions into  PG, PG Diploma and 5-Year Integrated Programmes offered by Osmania University.

The exams takes place during the month of May. These exams are mandatory for admission to different PG courses.

OUCET is conducted for admissions in MSc, MA, M Com, M Ed, M Lib Sc, B Lib Sc, MPEd and Integrated programmes offered by following faculties:

  • Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences
  • Faculty of Commerce
  • Faculty of Education
  • Faculty of Science

The details regarding OUCET (CPGET) 2023 exam pattern are mentioned below:

  • Exam mode: The exam will be conducted  online.
  • Exam timing: The examination will be conducted for 1 hour 30 minutes duration.
  • Medium: The examination will  be conducted in English language apart for language courses.
  • Number of questions: There will be a total 100 questions in the exam.
  • Total marks: Exam will be conducted for 100 marks.
  • Questions type: Objective type questions will be asked within the examination.

OUCET (CPGET) 2023 Eligibility Criteria

For taking admission to Osmania University, the candidate must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

Nationality and Domicile

  • The candidate should be of Indian Nationality.
  • Applicant must belong to Telangana state only.
  • Candidates must satisfy Local and Non Local status.

Educational Qualifications

  • Candidates should have passed B.SC, B.A equivalent examination will be at least 40% in aggregate.
  • Candidates passing the Bachelor's Degree examination with compartment are also eligible and secured at least 40% aggregate marks and pass in the qualifying exam for SC / ST.

Age Limit

  • There is no age restriction for CET (Self Financing).
  • The age limit for obtaining a Fee Reimbursement for SC / ST and BC is 34 Years.
  • The age limit for EBC / Minorities / Disabled is 30 Years.
